Cold Use
- Put the pack in freezer for 2 or more hours.
- Clean and bind up the skin with wound first
- Apply the pack to the desired area. Take away the pack if it becomes uncomfortable.
- Use it together with the cover provided or thin towel.
Hot Use - Heating by hot water
- Soak the pack into the boiling water (away from the heat source) for about 5 minutes.
- Pick up the pack and wipe off the water.
- Check the temperature by the back of your hand before use.
- Apply the pack to the desired area. Take away the pack if it becomes uncomfortable
- Use it together with the cover provided or thin towel.
Hot Use - Heating by microwave oven
- Medi-Gel cold/hot packs may be heated by microwave oven. heating time will vary depending on microwave unit used. Place cold/hot pack in approved microwave container and cover with water.
- Determine heating time by judicious increments of no more than two-or-three-minute intervals.
- DO NOT microwave cold/hot pack without covering it with water.
- Take out the pack. Check the temperature by the back of your hand before use.
- Apply the pack to the desired area. Take away the pack if it becomes uncomfortable.
- Use it together with the cover provided or thin towel.
- The pack can be repeated heated and used. However, the heating period of successive usage each time shall not exceed 30 seconds.
Cautionary Instructions
- Patient with circulatory problems shall use it under the instruction of doctor. It is not recommended for patient with serious disease or people feeling unwell for a long time. Please go to see the doctor immediately.
- For cold pack or hot pack, use with the cover to prevent the user from frostbite or burn.
- Check the temperature by the back of your hand before hot using. This is especially important for children or elderly.
- The pack may break in case of overheating or over-pressure on hot pack, and the gel leakage may cause the scald.
- Avoid puncturing. Throw away if punctured or leaking.
- Although the gel is non-poisonous, it is inedible.
